 Phil
I'm Phil, originally from London but more recently from the south-west of England. I have been
in France since 2001. I come from a family of builders and first started building with my father
when I was about 12. He taught me how to build walls and lay concrete floors and build extremely
large and deep fishponds. Since those days I have worked with companies on new builds and with
other renovation companies too. I have bought three houses for renovation in the UK and slowly
worked my way through them (well 2 houses and a swamp with bedrooms). Now I am in France and doing
3 barn conversions on my property. In between this I seem to manage to go to work and create nice
living spaces for other people too! I hope you enjoy this site and would love to talk to you about
your ideas too.

 Hugh
Hi, my name's Hugh Gibson and I run Renovations 24 along with Phil. I have been a joiner in building
trade all my life and decided to uproot and head to France a couple of years ago. Since my arrival
here I have been involved in many new aspects of timber work, due to the complexities of oak and
have found a new lease of life in my working life. There are a great many pleasures had by converting
a lump of wood into a new worktop/bar or seeing a dilapidated house turned into a palace fit for a king.
It seems that most French houses have large attics and it is here that a lot of our work has been done,
loft/attic conversions are very good value for money and supply you with one or two extra bedrooms and a
bathroom/toilet without all the work involved with seeking planning permission. The French red tape is
very demanding, so let us take care of all your worries and you can sit back and enjoy the pleasures of
our hard work.
